Leo Poblano (d) c. 1950s deeply colored Pia Mesa travertine bear fetish, 1-1/8” high by 2” long by 3/8” wide, SOLD. A beautiful natural turquoise point is the offering—two protections in one, plus the Leo smile. This bear was carved by Leo and finished with help from his wife, Ida Vacit, mother of Veronica.
Veronica Poblano rainbow fluorite frog fetish, 7/8” high by 2” long by 2” wide, $800. This froggie sits on a carved pink mussel shell lily pad with tumbled amethyst eyes and an inlaid pink-gold druzy raindrop.
Jovanna Poblano dendritic serpentine cat fetish, 1-3/4” high by 2-3/4” long by 3/4” wide, $250. The eyes are copper; the gem-laden offering includes a sodalite arrowhead and tiger’s eye hearts.
Frankie Chattin spiny oyster shell fox fetish, 1-1/2” high by 2-1/4” long by 3/4” wide including curve, $150. The offering is a purple spiny oyster shell point wrapped with turquoise nugget beads.
Dylan Poblano carved Kingman turquoise Zuni man’s face set in sterling silver pin, 1-1/8” high by 1-3/8” wide by 5/8” deep, $600. Very reminiscent of Leo’s jewelry work.
Veronica Poblano carved glass bird fetish set in sterling silver pin, 2-1/8” long by 1-5/8” high by 1/2” deep, SOLD. The glass is from a lamp by Isleta glass artist Tony Jojola, accidentally broken at Veronica’s home. She didn’t want this beautiful shard to be wasted.
Jovanna Poblano citrine crystal water serpent fetish, 1-3/4” high by 5-1/2” long by 1” wide, $1500. Jovanna polished the base and carved some segments, something few carvers bother to do with a raw crystal.
Veronica Poblano labradorite bird fetish, 1-1/4” high by 2-1/4” long by 7/8” wide, $800. The necklace of lapis and turquoise is secured at the nape with a silver pin so it will not slip off.
Frankie Chattin lapis frog fetish, 1-1/2” high by 2-1/4” long by 2” wide, $600. Roughly heart-shaped, the frog is adorned with turquoise rain drops and coral eyes.
Jovanna Poblano dark green serpentine sitting bear fetish, 1-1/2” high by 2-1/2” long by 1-1/4” wide, $350. The eyes are inlaid hishi beads; the pendant is carborundum crystal strung on faceted lapis beads accented by turquoise and coral.
Veronica Poblano polished labradorite heart necklace, 20” long, $300. The heart is mounted by a sterling silver loop and strung on labradorite and lapis beads. The silver clasp is magnetic.
Dylan Poblano necklace of carved Sleeping Beauty nesting bird fetish, adjustable 18” length, $700. Wrought sterling silver twigs and silver wire “string” along with red glass beads strung on fine silver wire are completely malleable (and comfortable!) so you can shape the necklace to your liking. There is a handmade silver hook closure that is easy to work and looks like one of the twigs.
Jovanna Poblano large limestone mountain lion fetish, 1-1/2” high (2” to top of bundle) by 4” long by 1” wide, $500. The limestone has quartz veining, and the lion has one quartz-tipped ear along with a coral tongue sticking out sideways.
Veronica Poblano old Kingman turquoise nesting bird fetish, 1-1/8” high by 2-7/8” long by 1” wide (leaf), $600. With crushed turquoise nest, coral, turquoise, and lapis rain drops, and Veronica’s sterling silver name tag on both the bird and the leaf.
Dylan Poblano matte-finished sterling silver rain maiden fetish, 3” high by 1-1/8” wide by 1” deep, $950. The appliqued coiled snake on the maiden’s robe and at her feet are water symbols.
Jovanna Poblano yttrium fluorite horse fetish, 2-1/4” high by 3-1/4” long by 1” wide, SOLD. This sweet pony wears a wrap of freshwater pearls with turquoise and carnelian beads and a faceted amethyst. His two paint markings are inlaid druzy crystals, one purple and one teal.
Frankie Chattin limestone bear fetish, 1-1/2” high by 3” long by 3/4” wide, $250. A beautiful mother-of-pearl point is the offering, wrapped with beads of smoky quartz, turquoise, coral, and amber, and two tiger’s eye hearts.
Veronica Poblano chrysocolla bird fetish, 1” high by 2” long by 1-3/4” wide, SOLD. This chrysocolla has lots of cuprite making red markings in the stone—almost looks like Bisbee turquoise—and a simple offering of a carnelian cabochon is all the embellishment needed.
Jovanna Poblano serpentine ram fetish, 2” high by 2” long by 3/4” wide, SOLD. What a pretty fellow he is with his pink shell arrowhead, faceted pink quartz beads, and amethyst briolette!
